PET LOSS EDUCATION AND SUPPORT GROUP AT GREENTREE MALL, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2009
Through education, support and information, Chance's Spot assists the public in understanding that the grief suffered when a dearly loved pet is lost is a heartfelt example of how genuine the human-animal bond can be. New Albany Floyd County Animal Control and Shelter understands this as well and together, we're offering our first Pet Loss Education and Support Group on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Greentree Mall Community Room, from 7pm to 8pm. Presentation presenter and group moderator will be Chance's Spot founder, Gail Heller.
The group is FREE and open to pet caregivers, veterinarians and staff, or anyone that has lost a pet. For more information or give the shelter a call at 812.948.5355.

HONORING THE ANIMALS CANDLELIGHT VIGIL ON NATIONAL PET MEMORIAL DAY

Chance's Spot, Pet Loss and Support Resources would like to thank Sid Korpi for being our guest at this year's Honoring the Animals Candlelight Vigil.
Ms. Korpi is the author of Good Grief: Finding Peace After Pet Loss. She has combined her decades of varied professional experience - as an editor, writer, journalist, former English teacher, actor, and ordained minister/animal chaplain - with her lifelong devotion to the companion animals who have blessed and shared her life in creating this beautiful collection of touching stories. The book has several stories of how pet loss has positively impacted pet parents, including the story of how Chance's Spot was founded. Ms. Korpi will be available to sign her new book and to speak at the event.
